Perseverance

“To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield,”

Pressing ever toward the next horizon,

Defying all limitations—from self or others,

Never accepting the current conditions

But always seeking to be better,

Believing that change, however difficult, can be achieved,

Focusing on the goal, and not the obstacle,

Daring to go beyond every set boundary

To where no one has ever dared venture,

To be the one who will succeed

Where all others have failed,

To strive for the stars that seem so out of reach,

To be crazy enough to believe your dreams possible—

For, indeed they are,

To reject complacency and embrace discovery,

To carry the flag into territory not explored,

And to never let a fall be the end of the story,

“To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.”

Quote taken from the poem “Ulysses” by Alfred Lord Tennyson
